MP3, AAC e FLAC



MP3: O codec mais utilizado para o MP3 é o LAME. A codificação dele é lossy, ou seja, com perca de dados de audio. É por esse fato e pelo seu algaritmo de codificação que o MP3 tem uma taxa de compressão alta sem perder muita qualidade sonora.

MP3 em VBR (Bitrate Variavel): O codec ira analizar a musica e escolhera o melhor bitrate para cada frame dela.

MP3 em CBR (Constate Bitrate): O codec codifica toda musica usando o mesmo bitrate para cada frame.

MP3 em ABR (Bitrate Medio): O codec analiza a musica e codifica ela usando um bitrate alvo e variando a cada frame.

Probabilidade de tranparencia:
-V 2 = 98,5% transparente
-V 0 = 99% transparente
-B 320 = 99,2% transparente





FLAC: O FLAC é o codec lossless mais utilizado para quardar seu CD original no PC. Sua codificação é lossless, sem perca de dados, e tem taxas de compressão podendo chegar a 40% a 50% do tamanho original.

AAC: O Advanced Audio Coding, ou, AAC é o sucessor do MP3. Ele é capaz de ter melhor qualidade e tamanho menor do que o MP3. A compressão é muito melhor aproveitada sendo que um arquivo de AAC 96 kbps tem melhor qualidade que um MP3 128 kbps. O AAC tem os mesmo 3 tipos de codificação do MP3.

Testes
MP3 em CBR 320 ou VBR-0 estão perto da qualidade de um CD orignal. Mas o grande diferencial é no tamanho. Eu ripei o CD do O Rappa, Mundi, usando os 3 formatos MP3, FLAC e AAC. Usei o programa dBpoweramp.
